Stack

React 19 and TypeScript, built with Vite. Routing via React Router v6. Animation via Framer Motion, constrained to transform and opacity only, with a single canonical easing curve site-wide. Styling via Tailwind CSS backed by CSS custom properties, so theme swaps require no rebuild.

No CMS. Content lives in MDX files processed at build time by @mdx-js/rollup with remark-frontmatter and remark-mdx-frontmatter. Adding a case study means creating one file. No code changes, no config changes.

The site is statically prerendered. Every route emits HTML; React hydrates after first paint. The home-route bundle targets under 80KB gzipped.

Fonts

All typefaces are self-hosted variable fonts served from public/fonts/. No external font services.

Inter Tight (variable, 100–900). UI sans-serif. font-display: swap.

Newsreader (variable, 200–800). Editorial serif, used for case-study body and About prose. font-display: optional, to avoid flash of unstyled text on a face with high optical contrast.

JetBrains Mono (variable, 100–800). Monospace for metadata, code, and timestamps. font-display: optional.

Revision history

III · 2026. Current. Complete rebuild. Replaced the prior static HTML with a React + MDX system. New visual identity: editorial/terminal hybrid, amber accent, strict two-colour palette.

II · 2024. First public version. Plain HTML and CSS. No JavaScript. Removed after the visual identity no longer matched the work being published.

I · 2023. Private. Never published.
